Energy and health for pilots

Hi as a commercial pilot for over twenty years I have got some good and bad experiences. I have worked for companies very well structured and companies without structure. I am presently working for the number one company, in my experience, Brussels Airlines( former DAT-Sabena). Sabena as you may know went bankrupt at the end of 2001. Here, at Brusselsairlines, they know what they are doing and they do it seriously.
The second best company I have worked for, has unfortunately gone bust, CoastAir in Norway. That was a pity.
Then we have those companies who seems to survive through circumstances unknown.
Their operations are sometimes on the limit of what is legal, sometimes probably on the wrong side.
Today CRM (crew resource management) is of greatest importance. NOT to all pilots though.
Some seems to be Captains( and some copilots too) for the wrong reasons-They know how to give orders without the capability of understanding the simplest of rules- Treat other people the same way you want to be treated yourself. And do it with a smile!
Some of my collegues can only see the negative sides of what they are doing. Forgetting the world we live in-we see places millions of people never see, and we get payed to do it! On top of that for most of us this not a job-it is a way of living. Ok we loose contact with a lot of our friends, some of us even loose their partners. Life is life, and YOU create it-NOONE ELSE!
Remember you are the creator of YOUR destiny-YOU have the choice. If you want to think negative-YOU created the negative thoughts! Every cloud has a silver lining-Very true. A healthy mind in a healthy body. I am over 58 years young and I pass my medical every six month, making the doctors wonder what I am doing.
I like that.
